Tamera Pollard TV Stand November 13th, 2018 - 06:38:09
This TV is only 55 inch and it is something I feel comfortable handling on my own. If you have the slightest doubt just get help and don't do this on your own. I really didn't have any plan to add this outlet just yet. I was gonna leave that for the entertainment center, but I decided that I'll. Thank myself later when the works already were done after marking the location of the electrical box, I then cut out that hole.
I didn't want this piece to attract too much visual attention unless the light is off, so I wanted to go with a subtle color like white. Now, if you go this route, just think about how you actually want this piece to sit in your space to avoid seeing wires draped down from the TV to the outlets, I decided I'm gonna move the cable over to the TV and also extend the power from here up to the TV I'm gonna work on the outlet while it's live.
So I would totally recommend that you turn off the breaker before you attempt this now with the panel extending so wide. I can just cut a hole right above both of those outlets and then I'm going to fish up from down below up to the small holes.
